In Research Project 3 (RP3) of Native-Controlling Hypertension and Risk through Technology (Native-CHART), we will adapt an educational intervention previously used for diabetes self-management to address self management of hypertension and/or type 2 diabetes in Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander people in order to reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke risk. Healthy Hearts Among Pacific Islanders (HHAPI) is an educational program created by and for Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders to manage high blood pressure and/or type 2 diabetes. HHAPI is the first online research study for Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.
