About the Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core
The Washington State University Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH) Outreach, Research, and Engagement Core cultivates trusted community partnerships, working together to reduce health disparities and improve the lives of Indigenous peoples, rural communities, and others that have been historically marginalized. Established in 2022, the Core includes IREACH faculty and staff from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. We provide an Institute-wide, holistic approach to community-based participatory research, in which we strive to partner with and incorporate meaningful consultation from community representatives to inform our work and build capacity at the local level.
