Clinical Faculty and Director of Operations for NW HERON

Anthippy Petras is clinical faculty in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and at IREACH and Director of Operations for WSU’s practice-based research network, the Northwest Health Education and Research Outcomes Network (NW HERON). She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Women’s Studies from Grinnell College. Anthippy oversees NW HERON’s development and functionality, conducts its grant management activities, and supervises student interns on their scholarly projects. She also participates in IREACH’s Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement (ORE) leadership team. Her research has focused on child welfare, health equity, and community-based participatory research with American Indian, Alaska Native, and rural communities. Her personal interests include sculpting large animals, gardening, cross country skiing, and spending time with family and pets.
