Senior Qualitative Researcher
Sara London is a Senior Qualitative Researcher at IREACH. She is Unangax̂ and was born and raised on Lummi Nation. Sara has a Master of Education in Leadership in Higher Education from University of Washington, where she is also a Doctoral Candidate in the Higher Education PhD program. She is a qualitative research specialist with skills in mixed-methods, Indigenous methodologies, research study design, research dissemination, evaluation and analysis, oral & written communications, and community-based participatory research. Her research interests include Indigenous knowledge and methodologies, historical trauma, adverse childhood experiences, resilience, Indigenous self-determination, sovereignty, sustainability, and well-being, Indigenous families: Elders, adults, youth, and children, public health, recruitment, retention and graduation rates for Indigenous students, disability justice and mental health, substance use and misuse, missing and murdered Indigenous people, social inequality and stratification, restorative justice, and Indigenous culture as a preventative and protective factor promoting resilience and health. Outside of work, Sara enjoys climbing, yoga, reading, hiking, long walks, quality friends and family time, community events, and sacred ceremonies.
