Justin Um

Justin Um is a Fiscal Analyst for IREACH. He has a BA in Psychology from University of Washington. Justin previously worked as a Research Assistant and Research Coordinator at the University of Washington from 2014 – 2021. For the latter 4 years of his time at University of Washington, he was increasingly involved in pre- and post-award coordination for sponsored research through the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and various non-profit organizations. At IREACH, Justin provides post-award, purchasing, and general administrative support for half of the IREACH research portfolio (primarily for PIs Dr. Buchwald and Dr. Johansson) and manages FTE for all staff and faculty. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, and fishing around the Pacific Northwest. Justin is also always looking to visit and experience the ever growing list of amazing restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops that Seattle has to offer.
