Patient and Provider Focus Groups

The INdians Transforming Alzheimer’s Care Treatment (INTACT) team has completed patient and provider focus groups which provided feedback on how to adapt Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias patient and caregiver educational material from the Dementia Action Collaborative of Washington State Dementia Road Map – A Guide for Family and Care Partners for American Indian and Alaska Native families. 

Currently, in collaboration with the Recruitment and Engagement Core, the team is using the feedback and knowledge shared with them to adapt the educational materials. 

The team has also received feedback from American Indian and Alaska Native primary care physicians regarding the primary care physician training intervention which will launch with the first cohort of clinics across America in September 2022.
