Cara Carty, PhD, is an Assistant Research Professor with over a decade of experience leading research projects in environmental, global and community health. Much of her early work focused on genetic and environmental risk factors for disease in diverse populations. Currently, Cara is actively involved in biomarker research and research testing interventions to prevent chronic diseases in disadvantaged populations. Cara earned a PhD in Epidemiology and a MS in Toxicology/Environmental Health. As a member of the IREACH Methods Core, she has expertise in statistical methods and study design.
